And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
