It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It is He who multiplied you on the earth, and it will be before Him that you will be gathered. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and for Him are the alternations of night and day; so do you not have sense? 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed? 82 “Indeed this promise was given to us and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of earlier people.” 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Ask them: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "They belong to God." Say, "So do you not fear Him?" 87 Say, "In whose hands lies sovereignty over all things, protecting all, while none can seek protection against Him? Tell me, if you have any knowledge." 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 who has knowledge of the Unseen and the Visible; high exalted be He, above that they associate! 92
