Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 who created death and life that He might examine which of you is best in deeds, and He is the Almighty, the Forgiving, 2 It is He who has created seven heavens, one above the other. You can see no flaw in the creation of the Beneficent God. Look again. Can you see faults? 3 Then turn your vision again, and then again; in the end your vision will come back to you, worn out and frustrated. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there awaits the punishment of Gehenna (Hell) an evil arrival! 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 So now they admit their sins! Therefore accursed be the people of hell! 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. 14
