The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In columns outstretched. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
