And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 These men do say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
