۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
