O you who believe! Eat not Riba (usury) doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 And have fear of the Fire which awaits those who deny the Truth. 131 and obey God and the Messenger, so that you may be given mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;- 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers. 136 Dispensations have gone forth before you; go about then on the earth, and behold what wise hath been the end of the beliers! 137 This (the Quran) is a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 so that God may purge those who believe and wipe out those who deny the truth. 141 Do you think that you could enter paradise unless God takes cognizance of your having striven hard [in His cause,] and takes cognizance of your having been patient in adversity? 142 And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on. 143
