Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This Book, beyond all doubt, was revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 He made His offspring come into existence from an extract of insignificant fluid, 8 Then proportioned and breathed into him of His spirit, and gave you the senses of hearing, sight and feeling. And yet how little are the thanks you offer! 9 And they say, "When we are lost within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
