Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 upon the straight path. 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We have covered them, so that they see not. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 You can warn only him who follows the Admonition and fears the Merciful Lord without seeing Him. Give such a one good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence). 12
