The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
