Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
