Surely Ibrahim was an exemplar, obedient to Allah, upright, and he was not of the polytheists. 120 Grateful to Him for His favours; so He chose him and guided him to the path that is straight, 121 And gave him what is good in the world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous and the good. 122 And lastly, We have inspired thee, [O Muhammad, with this message:] "Follow the creed of Abraham, who turned away from all that is false, and was not of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God; 123 The Sabbath was only enjoined on those who differed about it. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differed. 124 Call them unto the way of thy Lord with Wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them with that which is best. Verily thy Lord! He is the Best Knower of him who hath strayed from His way, and He is the Best Knower of the guided ones. 125 And if you mete out punishment, then punish similarly as you were afflicted; and if you patiently endure, then indeed patience is better for the patiently enduring. 126 Exercise patience and let it be only for the cause of God. Do not be grieved about them nor disappointed at their evil plans. 127 Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good. 128
