3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
