3/4 Hizb 45

Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
