The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 GOD - there is no deity save Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsistent Fount of All Being! 2 He has sent down to you the Book with the truth, confirming what preceded it; and He has sent down the Torah and the Gospel (of Prophet Jesus which has been lost) 3 Aforetime, for a guidance unto the people, and sent down the criterion. Verily those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah unto them shall be torment severe. And Allah is Mighty, Lord of Retribution. 4 Nothing in the earth and in the heavens is hidden from Allah. 5 He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 6 He has sent down this Book which contains some verses that are categorical and basic to the Book, and others allegorical. But those who are twisted of mind look for verses metaphorical, seeking deviation and giving to them interpretations of their own; but none knows their meaning except God; and those who are steeped in knowledge affirm: "We believe in them as all of them are from the Lord." But only those who have wisdom understand. 7 Our Lord! suffer not our hearts to deviate after that Thou hast guided us, and bestow on us from Thine presence mercy. Verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower! 8 Lord, You will surely gather all the people for a Day that will come in which there is no doubt' Allah will not break His promise. 9
