Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
