The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 Nay! they shall soon come to know 4 Nay, again, but they will come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 and We made the night a mantle, 10 and the day as time for you to make a living? 11 Have We not made seven strong heavens above you, 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation 15 And orchards full of trees and interlacing boughs. 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Truly Hell is as a place of ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 therein they shall abide for ages, 23 they shall taste in it no coolness, nor any pleasant drink 24 Except hot boiling water and hot pus discharged from the people of hell. 25 Recompense fitted! 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 Taste therefore. We shall not increase you in aught but torment. 30
