Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
