۞ Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! 21 The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!" 22 We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust. 23 (On the contrary) only those who have deserved the Garden, will have a good abode on that Day and a cool place for midday rest. 24 And on the Day on which the skies, together with the clouds, shall burst asunder, and the angels are made to descend in a mighty descent 25 The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers. 26 and a Day on which the evildoer will bite his hands [in despair,] exclaiming: "Oh, would that I had followed the path shown to me by the apostle! 27 Ah! woe unto me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 For it was he, who had deluded me to reject the Admonition which had come to me. Satan has proved very treacherous to man. " 29 The Messenger says, 'O my Lord, behold, my people have taken this Koran as a thing to be shunned.' 30 And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid. 31 The unbelievers have said, "Why was the whole Quran not revealed to him at once?" We have revealed it to you in gradual steps to strengthen your hearts and give you explanations. 32 And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof). 33 Those who will be gathered into Gehenna (Hell) upon their faces shall be in the worst in place, and have gone further astray from the Path. 34
