THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
