He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 and his consort and his children; 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
