O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him (i.e. Messenger Muhammad SAW) while you are hearing. 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are those (people) who are deaf, dumb – who do not have any sense. 22 Indeed, had Allah known any good in them, He would have let them hear. But even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away, swerving aside. 23 Believers, listen to God and the Messengers when they call you to that which gives you life. Know that God is between a man and his heart and that before Him you will all be brought together. 24 And beware of an affliction that will not smite exclusively those among you who have done wrong. Know that God is severe in exacting retribution. 25 And remember, when ye were few and reckoned feeble in the land, and were in fear lest men should extirpate you, how He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and made provision of good things for you, that haply ye might be thankful. 26 O People who Believe! Do not betray Allah and His Noble Messenger, nor purposely defraud your trusts. 27 And know that your wealth and your children are a test, and that with Allah is an immense reward. 28
