Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
