The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
