Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
