The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
