And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 34 so that they may consume the fruits and whatever their hands prepare. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said to them, “Beware of what is before you and what is behind you, in the hope of your gaining mercy”, they turn away! 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
