The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
