Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
