Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But nay, I swear by all that you can see 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We would have seized him by his right hand, 45 and cut-off his main artery. 46 And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him. 47 And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil). 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 Surely it is a sorrow to the unbelievers; 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
