Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
