The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
