Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
