50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
