Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
