Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
