The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
