The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 They sat by it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
