The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
