And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
