Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
