Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
