The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Of what do they ask one another? 1 About the great tidings! 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 and We have made your sleep [a symbol of] death 9 and made the night a covering, 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, 12 and We have set therein a glowing lamp. 13 And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly, 14 that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, 15 and luxuriant gardens. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 The mountains will be driven away and become like mirages. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 They will neither taste anything cool in it, nor anything to drink. 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 , A fitting reward. 26 They indeed hoped not for a reckoning, 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 "So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment." 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
