The people of 'Ad, too, rejected the messengers. 123 Their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear God? 124 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 125 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 126 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 127 Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? 128 And do you take to yourselves underground reservoirs, in order to live for ever! 129 And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. 130 Have fear of God and obey me. 131 Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know, 132 He hath aided you with cattle and sons. 133 “And with gardens and water-springs.” 134 'Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 135 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers 136 this is nothing but a habit of the ancients: 137 "And we are not going to be punished." 138 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
