Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
