The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
