The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
