The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
