And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 This is a blessed Book which We sent down to you [Muhammad], for people to ponder over its messages, and for those with understanding to take heed. 29 We gave Solomon to David; and he was an excellent worshiper, he was penitent. 30 When the noble galloping horses were displayed to him one evening, 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 And, indeed We did try Sulaiman (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 And so We made subservient to him the wind, so that it gently sped at his behest whithersoever he willed, 36 And made the demons subservient to him, all builders and divers. 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40
