We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 who has set up another god besides God: cast him into severe punishment" -- 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
